Phillip R. Bonotto


Mr. Bonotto is admitted to the California State Bar, all jurisdictions in the State of California, and the U.S. District Court-Eastern District of California in 1983.  Phil Bonotto attended the University of California at Davis, where he graduated with a B.S., with honors, in 1980. He went on to attend McGeorge School of Law, University of the Pacific, where he earned his Juris Doctor in Law, with distinction, in 1983. He was awarded the honor of becoming a member of the Order of the Coif and the Traynor Society while attending McGeorge School of Law due to his scholastic and ethical achievements. He is admitted to practice in all of the courts in the State of California, the federal court for the Eastern District of California, and has argued cases before the First and Third District Court of Appeals and California Supreme Court. In addition to his extensive law practice, Mr. Bonotto currently volunteers to serve as a Judge Pro Tem and Panel of Arbitrators for the Sacramento and El Dorado County Superior Courts. Mr. Bonotto is AV rated by Martindale Hubbel, which is the highest level of peer review rating available to a practicing attorney. Mr. Bonotto is also an active member of the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA), the State Bar of California, the American Bar Association, the Association of Defense Counsel, and the Sacramento County Bar Association.
