James W. Rushford


James W. Rushford  was admitted to California State Bar in 1979. He was also admitted to practice in all jurisdictions in the State of California, the U.S. District Court-Eastern District of California, and the U.S. District Court-Northern District of California in 1983. Mr. Rushford has been a licensed Real Estate Broker since 2005.

Jim Rushford attended California State University at Sacramento, earning his B.A. in Government in 1975. Mr. Rushford went on to attend McGeorge School of Law, University of the Pacific, where he earned his Juris Doctor in Law in 1979. He served as a Deputy District Attorney of Ventura County from 1980 to 1981. He became a minority consultant for the State of California Senate Judiciary Committee from 1981 to 1983. Mr. Rushford served as a Commissioner for the California Fair Political Practices Commission from 1993 to 1997, and as a Commissioner for the Bipartisan California Commission on Internet Political Practices in 2003.

In addition to his law practice, Mr. Rushford currently volunteers as a Judge Pro Tem and serves on the Panel of Arbitrators for the Sacramento County Superior Court. He is an active member of the State Bar of California, the Sacramento County Bar Association and the American Board Of Trial Advocates (ABOTA). He also proudly served our country in the United States Air Force from 1966 to 1970.
